Ticket office as bad as ever
I'm trying to book tickets for the Bournemouth game. I live in the US and have bought plane tickets to London, specifically for the purpose of watching this game.

I tried to login to my account.........client member number not recognised.

After 20 minutes I was suddenly presented at a window that said I had to become a Claret Member. Entered client number, not recognised. 15 minutes later, it changed it's mind and gave me a number of options.

GBP47 to become an international member.......Two quid more than domestic, presumably because we should pay a surchage for international supporters.

And now, they say my card number isn't recognised. Same number as last year, when i booked tickets to watch a game.

Just timed out, have to start again........CUNTS

Will this club not fucking learn, spend some money and partner with someone who can does this properly?

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
It would seem this saga is at an end; well, for me, anyway.

I received an email from the club yesterday advising I had been allocated two tickets for the Bournemouth game via the lottery. Good news indeed. My brother and his son will get those tickets.

During last week, after a sequence of emails and phone calls with Charles Bruner, Head of Stadium Sales, WHU have set aside two match day tickets for my son and I as well.

WHU used this thread as an event log to determine what had happened as I tried unsuccessfully to log onto the website and apply for Claret Membership. I did warn about the liberal use of the word .cunt', and the irritated comments of a few posters too, but he said he was an ex-Marine and he'd heard it all before.

So, we have a happy ending. I'll collect all 4 tickets on the day of the game, and look forward to Bournemouth getting a good thumping at the OS.

I'm a new season ticket holder but my seat has never been available to me for the home European game next week. Despite the block having good availability

Anyone know what is happening about Chelsea away?

I got a response to an email a few weeks ago which said that the same priority email would apply as last season... so I submitted a form but not heard anything and I haven't seen anything online? Anyone?

Will you be doing your S/T upgrade for the Bournemouth game on the day?

Is the TO actually shut today? I always use option 3 on the phone to speak to someone but there's a recorded message saying the office is closed.

This 'log' should provide them with confirmation of how frustrated supporters get when things don't work properly. The nidea of being 52nd in the queue and knowing I was paying 13p/minute for the privilege of getting bumped back down the queue when the call dropped would do my head in.

Scaling call centres for the kind of traffic football supporters generate (ie peaks and troughs) is not easy and will inevitably lead to down time, but that should be 'the cost of doing business', and not an issue that should pushed back to callers.

By the time I got through to the call centre/TO I'd be in a foul mood.

Things have got seriously worse since this MIGRATION.

I think the whole thing is probably close to a complete and utter meltdown over there. The queues for upgrades are going to be ridiculous. A simple process they could have sorted online and they just won't do it.

WHU have now recognised the site was fucked up for a period of time, based on my rantings on this site and their investigations. I provided the entire thread, which given the liberal use of the word 'cunt' made for interesting reading. They used this thread as an activity log....it was certainly that.

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
To be fair in the past I haven't experienced too many problems with dealing with te ticket office BUT so far this year it is not the case.

I haven't yet received season tickets for myself and my grandson (under16). But using our client numbers I purchased online two tickets for the Europa match. Knowing that my grandson couldn't get to the match I tried upgrade his ticket at the time of purchase online (so that the missus could go in his place). Couldn't do this as you could in the past.

Emailed the ticket office on how to upgrade. Reply suggested either go to ticket office or telephone to arrange up grade. As I was told that the season ticket cards would be with me soon I thought I would wait until then a get my grandson's card upgraded for the game. (as I have done in the past)

Today I received paper tickets so phoned the ticket office to upgrade. I was told I needed call another number and contact Reservations - I did - being 52nd in the queue - I gave up and have emailed the ticket office for clarification.

At the moment I assuming I will be able to up-grade on match day?

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
got an email through just now confirming my seats for the game.......completely separate to the ones I actually booked at the time and got an email confirming the seats I will be in!

so I am not sure now if I have 6 tickets, or 3 but just in an entirely different part of the ground!

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
The reality is, the best way to get a ticket is to get yer arse down to the ground and present it at the TO.

Prehistoric maybe, but more reliable than all the other modern shit.

Assuming tickets are available.
